A novel approach to load testing of WebRTC media in a cloud contact centre world

Traditional VoIP contact centres have been relatively easily load tested thanks to the nature of traditional VoIP protocols where signalling and media are standardised (SIP, H323, SCCP etc.). The broad introduction of WebRTC to the traditional contact centre platforms has introduced a complication to this type of testing. Specifically the dependency on browsers for execution of the CCaaS client code for call signalling control.
A novel approach has been developed and will be demonstrated that does allows for very high scale load testing of WebRTC media without the need for 100's of servers as a result of the limited scalability of real browsers being used for load testing of WebRTC media.
